Joe Thuney Unlikely To Face Ravens In AFC Championship

Published: Jan 24, 2024 at 07:21 PM
Kansas City Chiefs left guard Joe Thuney (pectoral) is not practicing on Wednesday and is unlikely to play against the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC Championship Game, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. Thuney suffered a pectoral injury in the Divisional Round win over the Buffalo Bills. If he can't suit up on Sunday, it will be a massive loss for the Chiefs' offensive line. The three-time Super Bowl Champion earned first-team All-Pro honors this year and is part of one of the best interior offensive lines in the NFL. Heading into a matchup with stud defensive linemen Michael Pierce and Justin Madubuike, his potential absence is obviously not ideal. Expect Patrick Mahomes to face more interior pressure if Thuney is standing on the sideline.
