Chris Jones, Chiefs Still Working On Extension

Published: Jul 15, 2023 at 12:42 AM
According to NFL Network's James Palmer, the Chiefs and defensive tackle Chris Jones continue to work toward an extension. Interestingly enough, Palmer reported that a deal could exceed those given to Jeffery Simmons, Dexter Lawrence, and most recently, Quinnen Williams, who inked a four-year, $96 million contract with the Jets on Thursday. Of course, Jones is worth every penny, considering he has totaled 243 tackles and 65 sacks in 107 regular season games. IDP managers are keeping their fingers crossed both sides will reach an agreement, especially since he's been a productive fantasy option for years.
