Sean McVay Impressed With Stetson Bennett

Published: Jun 16, 2023 at 03:00 PM
Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay expressed how "pleased" he's been with rookie quarterback Stetson Bennett during mandatory minicamp this week. The Rams took the former Georgia Bulldog in the fourth round (128th overall) in this year's NFL draft. "The one thing that stands out is when the ball is in Stetson's hands, the game makes sense to him. He's got a good feel for being able to get through progressions quickly," McVay said. Bennett was dealing during organized team activities, and his "athleticism" has stood out. The 25-year-old has a winning pedigree with two nationals championships in college, but his physical traits don't stand out and he'll be sitting behind Matthew Stafford for at least a few seasons.
