Quentin Johnston Could Go Earlier Than Expected

Published: Apr 26, 2023 at 03:12 PM
Texas Christian University wide receiver Quentin Johnston could come off the board earlier than expected in this year's NFL draft because this year's receiver class is on the smaller side, and Johnston is a big-bodied pass-catcher at 6-foot-3, 208 pounds. Ohio State wideout Jaxon Smith-Njigba is the consensus No. 1 receiver this year. Boston College's Zay Flowers is up there and is ranked No. 21 overall by ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay. Along with Flowers, University of Southern California's Jordan Addison and Johnston are in the running to be the second pass-catcher to come off the board in the first round on Thursday night. All three prospects could come off the board in the Nos. 20-31 range.
