Mike Williams Goes For 100 Yards And Scores In Week 2 Loss
Published: Sep 16, 2022 at 04:01 AM
Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Mike Williams hauled in eight of 10 targets for 113 yards and a touchdown in Thursday night's 27-24 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Quarterback Justin Herbert made an obvious effort to get Williams involved early in this one with Keenan Allen (hamstring) sidelined. His first score of the season came on an excellent one-handed contested grab in the third quarter. Williams likely won't see double-digit targets every week, especially once Allen returns, but this performance served as a nice reminder of why he should be a fixture in fantasy lineups. Williams remains a solid WR2 with week-winning upside heading into a Week 3 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
