Mekhi Blackmon Avoids Serious Injury

Minnesota Vikings defensive back Mekhi Blackmon (upper body) was forced to exit early during Thursday's practice due to injury. He appeared to have suffered an upper body injury and left to the locker room. After further testing, the Vikings believe that Blackmon has avoided any serious injuries. That is great news considering Blackmon has been playing with the starting defense. The third-round pick could end up having a legitimate role on this defense to start the season.
