Lions Find Starting Tight End In Sam LaPorta
Published: Apr 28, 2023 at 11:30 PM
The Detroit Lions selected Iowa tight end Sam LaPorta with the No. 34 overall pick, filling a void left by T.J. Hockenson last season after he was traded to the Minnesota Vikings. LaPorta will slot into one of the league's best offenses and could see more value while Jameson Williams (suspended for six games) is out. However, rookie tight ends often take time to develop, so expectations should be realistic for his rookie campaign. That said, his landing spot is a good development overall for his fantasy value.
