Jordan Addison Scores, Targeted Nine Times In Week 5 Loss

Published: Oct 09, 2023 at 09:45 AM
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison scored his third touchdown of the season on Sunday, finishing with six catches for 64 yards and a touchdown on nine targets in the 27-20 loss to the Chiefs. The rookie wideout led the team in receiving yards, targets, and receptions, thanks in part to a late hamstring injury to star player Justin Jefferson (hamstring). If Jefferson has to miss any time, the first-round pick could take on a significant role in this offense. Minnesota has shown a strong tendency to pass the ball in their first five games, providing Addison with ample opportunities moving forward. The upcoming matchup against the Bears is particularly promising since they've allowed the most passing yards in the NFL. Addison becomes a must-start in Week 6 if Jefferson is sidelined.
