Jordan Addison Involved But Quiet In Only Drive

Published: Aug 11, 2024 at 12:18 AM
Minnesota Vikings receiver Jordan Addison played only one drive, though he saw two targets from quarterback Sam Darnold's eight pass attempts. The first of the targets was a wild pass, thrown by Darnold about seven yards too far from Addison on a deep pass to the right of the field that could have been a big play. The second target was a very impressive reception for seven yards on 3rd-and-7, giving the Vikings a first down at the Las Vegas Raiders' 12-yard line. Though he ended up with one reception for seven yards, the team intentionally gave him looks early. Addison's status as the second wide receiver on the team is unquestioned, and Saturday's performance did nothing to dissuade the team from that thought. However, a potential suspension looms as he has an October 7 arraignment scheduled in LA County Superior Court from a citation in July for driving under the influence.
