Javonte Williams Could Be Ready For Training Camp
Published: May 14, 2023 at 01:06 AM
According to Broncos head coach Sean Payton, running back Javonte Williams could be ready for the beginning of training camp. The 23-year-old tore his ACL and MCL in Week 4 of last season and has been working his way back since. Of course, Williams' status for the start of the season may not be revealed until closer to Week 1. But even if he misses a few games to begin the 2023-24 campaign, he might dodge a trip to the PUP list, which would be fantastic news. That said, managers who select Williams in fantasy drafts should strongly consider picking up Samaje Perine, who totaled six touchdowns with the Bengals in 2022-23, as an insurance policy.
