Javonte Williams Cleared For Contact Thursday

Published: Jul 27, 2023 at 06:28 PM
Denver Broncos running back Javonte Williams (knee) has been cleared for contact, per Broncos beat reporter Zac Stevens. Williams continues to make very steady strides in his comeback from a Week 4 torn ACL last season. With the 23-year-old having dodged the PUP list to start training camp, it's becoming increasingly more likely Williams is able to be active for Week 1. The former second rounder's fantasy ADP should continue to incrementally rise while Samaje Perine's cost falls if the positive reports on Williams' recovery keep rolling in. Fantasy managers still might want to temper expectations to a degree if Williams is ultimately ready for the opening week. He will have been not even a full calendar year removed from a very significant knee injury by that time.
