DeVonta Smith Quiet In Week 4
Published: Oct 03, 2022 at 12:07 AM
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith caught three of his four targets, gaining 17 yards, during the team's 29-21 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 23-year-old returned to earth after going nuclear against the Washington Commanders last week. The entire passing attack was hampered due to the heavy rain throughout the contest. Smith was third on the team in total targets Sunday, taking a back seat to A.J. Brown and tight end Dallas Goedert. This will go down as a game to forget for the second-year receiver, who should bounce back sooner rather than later. Smith will go on the road next week to face the Arizona Cardinals in a favorable matchup. He should be considered a WR3/FLEX option for Week 5.
