DeVonta Smith Catches Two Touchdowns, Leads Team In Receiving

Published: Dec 25, 2022 at 01:30 AM
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith caught 8-of-12 targets for 113 yards and scored two touchdowns during the team's 40-34 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. The second-year receiver had his best fantasy performance of the season. However, it was not enough to propel the Eagles, led by backup quarterback Gardner Minshew, to victory over the division rival. Smith led the team in targets putting the fear of him losing targets due to the return of tight end Dallas Goedert to bed. The 24-year-old has eclipsed his stat line from last season, and there are two more games to go. Smith will be a solid WR2 next week against the New Orleans Saints, regardless of who is under center.
