Demario Douglas Standing Out For Patriots

Published: Jul 30, 2023 at 05:37 PM
New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Demario Davis is reportedly impressing at training camp and could see playing time right away in 2023. Douglas was selected in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL Draft from Liberty University and is positioned with the top group of skill position players while the rest of the Patriots' rookie wide receivers are relegated to scout team work. The 22-year-old caught 79 passes for 993 yards and six touchdowns in his final collegiate season. Given the Patriots' weak wide receiver group consisting of JuJu Smith-Schuster, DeVante Parker, and Kendrick Bourne, he could carve out a role in the new-look offense led by Bill O'Brien. That said, his fantasy upside will likely be limited by a mediocre overall offensive attack if he does play meaningful snaps.
