Daniel Bellinger Still Sore On Monday

Published: Dec 13, 2022 at 04:00 AM
New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll said that rookie tight end Daniel Bellinger (ribs) was "pretty sore" on Monday after getting injured in the Week 14 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. It sounds like there is some concern about whether Bellinger will be able to play in Week 15 against the Washington Commanders. The 22-year-old injured his ribs in the second quarter on Sunday and continued to play, but he was pulled in the fourth quarter in the blowout loss. Fantasy managers will need to keep close tabs on his practice status for the week after he caught all three of his targets for 19 yards against Philly. Bellinger has become an interesting TE2 streamer in a Giants offense lacking legitimate receiving threats. If he cannot play in Week 15, Nick Vannett should be the team's starter at tight end.
