Broncos Plan To Play Javonte Williams In Second Preseason Game
Published: Aug 03, 2023 at 06:31 PM
Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton said he plans to play running back Javonte Williams (knee) in the preseason, likely for the second game. Williams suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 4 last year in which he suffered ACL, LCL and MCL damage. However, his rehab has gone as good as could be expected, and he has already been cleared for full contact at training camp. Barring a setback, Williams should ready to go for Week 1 against the Las Vegas Raiders, but we'll see how much Denver plans to ease him in to his regular workload. Samaje Perine is fully capable of handling a larger role early in the season. As long as Williams continues to look good and stay healthy in the preseason, his fantasy ADP is going to skyrocket up.
