Brian Robinson Released From Hospital

Published: Aug 30, 2022 at 04:05 PM
Washington Commanders rookie running back Brian Robinson was released from the hospital on Monday, one day after being shot twice in an armed robbery attempt in D.C. According to a source, he'll meet with team doctors on Tuesday to determine the extent of his rehab, but Washington remains optimistic about his chances of playing in 2022. Head coach Ron Rivera said the team is uncertain when Robinson will be able to return. The 23-year-old underwent surgery and could be placed on the Non-Football Injury list, which would force him to miss at least the first four games. The third-rounder was trending towards being the primary back on early downs entering the regular season, but that will now fall to Antonio Gibson, with J.D. McKissic working on passing downs.
