Arik Armstead Closing In On Deal With Jaguars

Former San Francisco 49ers defensive lineman Arik Armstead is expected to sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The 30-year-old was officially released by the 49ers on Wednesday following his nine-year career with the organization. In 116 career games, Armstead has racked up 302 tackles, 33.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, three passes defended, and 27.5 run stuffs. He's one of the more underrated interior defensive linemen in the NFL, and he'll now join forces with All-Pro edge rusher Josh Allen in Duval County.
