Alexander Mattison Staying With Vikings

Minnesota Vikings running back Alexander Mattison has signed a new contract with the organization. The two sides have reportedly agreed to a two-year, $7 million contract. This is a nice payday for Mattison who has proven to be one of the better backups in the league. There have been rumors that the Vikings are interested in moving on from starter Dalvin Cook. That would skyrocket Mattison's value to the moon, but a deal seems unlikely at the moment. Possibly, the team would be more willing to move Cook now that Mattison is signed. Mattison will have his fantasy value handcuffed while Cook is healthy. Mattison remains one of the better backups to stash in fantasy leagues.
