Wil Lutz Misses Field Goal And Extra Point

Denver Broncos kicker Wil Lutz didn't endear himself to the Broncos faithful in his team debut in the Week 1 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. And in a game in which the Broncos lost by just one point by a score of 17-16, Lutz's missed field goal and missed extra point loomed large in dropping the team to 0-1 to begin the 2023 regular season. Lutz's missed field-goal attempt came from 55 yards out in the third quarter, while his successful attempt was from 24 yards away to put the team up 16-10 in the fourth quarter. The performance will throw the 29-year-old off the fantasy radar as a streamer in Week 2 against the Washington Commanders at home. Denver's offense is going to have to show more for that to change, especially after Lutz made a career-low 74.2% of his kicks in 2022 in his final season with the Saints.
