Trevor Lawrence Held Out Of Practice Wednesday

Published: Dec 29, 2022 at 06:00 AM
Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (toe) was absent from Wednesday's practice. The second-year quarterback is coming off an impressive performance against the New York Jets in Week 16, where he led the Jaguars to their fourth win in five games. With this absence from practice, there is some concern about Lawrence's availability in Week 17. Jacksonville's Week 18 game against the Tennessee Titans has become their ticket to the playoffs, making this upcoming matchup against the Houston Texans fairly meaningless. Despite head coach Doug Pederson saying he won't rest players, his history of holding them out in the past is worrisome. It is still early, but Lawrence's status should be monitored throughout the week.
