Saints Sticking With Andy Dalton At QB
Published: Nov 17, 2022 at 12:21 AM
New Orleans Saints head coach Dennis Allen said that the team will stick with Andy Dalton as the starting quarterback in Week 11 against the Los Angeles Rams. Allen said the team evaluated the position this week and discussed it with both Dalton and Jameis Winston. Dalton has been the starter since Week 4 with Winston dealing with ankle and back injuries, so it's possible the decision was made this week because Winston isn't healthy enough to return. The Saints are 2-5 with Dalton under center, and he looked bad in the Week 10 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, throwing for 174 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. The 35-year-old Red Rifle can't be trusted as anything more than a low-end QB2 in superflex leagues this Sunday against the Rams.
