Russell Wilson Held Under 200 Yards Passing In Week 5

Published: Oct 09, 2023 at 02:08 AM
Denver Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson struggled in the 31-21 loss to the New York Jets on Sunday, going 20-for-31 for 196 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions. He added seven carries for a season-high 49 yards, but he was also sacked four times for a loss of 27 yards and fumbled twice. One of his two fumbles was recovered by the Jets and returned for a touchdown late in the fourth quarter, which sealed the win for the Jets. The 34-year-old took a step back for fantasy managers this weekend, but he now has thrown 11 touchdown passes to only two interceptions and overall has looked better in 2023. Wilson will have a chance to bounce back as a QB1 streamer in a Week 6 matchup next Thursday night against the division-rival Kansas City Chiefs.
