Roschon Johnson Won't Return On Thursday

Published: Oct 06, 2023 at 01:43 AM
Chicago Bears running back Roschon Johnson (concussion) has been ruled out for the rest of Thursday's Week 5 matchup against the Washington Commanders. Johnson went down in the second quarter and won't return after suffering a concussion. Before going down, Johnson rushed the ball three times for 19 yards. His absence will mean increased carries for Khalil Herbert for the rest of this contest. The good news is that Johnson will have 10 days to get cleared for the Week 6 matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. However, Johnson has been losing snaps to Herbert recently, so this injury won't help his chances of getting more looks on offense. Fantasy managers in 12-team redraft formats might want to consider moving on from Johnson.
