Ravens Don't Think Gus Edwards' Injury Is Too Serious

Published: Oct 28, 2022 at 04:05 PM
Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh said after the Thursday night win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that it didn't look like running back Gus Edwards' hamstring injury seemed too bad. However, the team will know more on Friday after running tests. Edwards came into the game questionable with a knee injury after making his season debut in Week 7, but he left in the fourth quarter on Thursday with a hamstring injury. Despite the injury, Edwards led the backfield with 11 carries for 65 yards. He wasn't targeted in the passing game. The 27-year-old will have extra time to rest before the Week 9 game against the New Orleans Saints on Monday night, but Edwards could still be in danger of missing that contest. If that's the case, Kenyan Drake and Justice Hill would see larger workloads in the backfield.
