Mike Evans Gives Contract Extension Deadline

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans continues to discuss a possible long term extension with the organization. However, the 30-year-old doesn't want this to be a distraction for him during the season. That being said, Evans has given the team until September 9th to finalize an extension. It's uncertain if the Bucs organization really has any plans of keeping the veteran wideout around long term. This team is headed towards a rebuild and Evans isn't going to be cheap. He might be a possible trade candidate mid-season if the two sides don't reach a deal by the beginning of the regular season.
