Michael Woods II May Have Torn Achilles

Published: Apr 04, 2023 at 03:08 PM
The Cleveland Browns are concerned that wide receiver Michael Woods II (Achilles) might have torn his Achilles while working out with quarterback Deshaun Watson in Texas, according to league sources. Woods was a sixth-round pick by the Browns in last year's draft and played in 10 games in his rookie season in 2022, catching five of his 10 targets for 45 yards and no touchdowns. A torn Achilles would mean that the 23-year-old could miss all of the 2023 regular season. Heading into his second NFL season, Woods was hoping to have a bigger role as receiver depth in Cleveland behind the likes of Amari Cooper, Donovan Peoples-Jones, Elijah Moore, Anthony Schwartz, Marquise Goodwin and David Bell.
