Michael Wilson A Week 6 Dart-Throw?

Published: Oct 14, 2023 at 06:56 AM
Arizona Cardinals rookie wide receiver Michael Wilson could be a deep sleeper in the team's Week 6 contest against the L.A. Rams. In the Week 5 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, Wilson gathered in one of two targets for 18 yards and logged his highest snap share (75 percent) on the season. Even though the rookie continues to operate as the team's No. 2 wideout behind Marquise Brown, he faces a significantly tougher game this week against the Rams, who have allowed the seventh-fewest yards per catch to wide receivers. Despite the potentially brutal matchup, L.A. applies zone defense at the tenth-highest rate in the NFL, and Wilson has had some success against zone coverage on the year. With that in mind, in Week 6 Wilson should be considered a deep dart-throw flex play.
