Marvin Mims Jr. A Deep-League Dart Throw Against Chiefs
Published: Oct 12, 2023 at 04:54 AM
Denver Broncos rookie wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. showed his floor in the Week 5 loss to the New York Jets last Sunday, catching his only target for a four-yard pickup. Mims may be leading the Broncos with 246 receiving yards and 24.6 yards per reception in the first five games of his NFL career, but he's extremely boom-or-bust for fantasy purposes due to the fact that he just hasn't been on the field enough to make a consistent impact through the air. The 21-year-old speedy deep threat has been on the field slightly more the last two games, but he still hasn't exceeded 35 percent of the offensive snaps in a single game and probably won't as long as both Courtland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy are healthy. There will be more splash plays for Mims deep down the field, but they will be few and far between and impossible to predict for fantasy managers heading into the Thursday night battle against the Kansas City Chiefs.
