Marquez Valdes-Scantling Listed As Starter On First Depth Chart
Published: Aug 10, 2023 at 04:01 AM
Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling was listed as a starter on the team's first unofficial depth chart of training camp on Wednesday. This isn't really big news with Kadarius Toney (knee) injured and JuJu Smith-Schuster and Mecole Hardman moving on in free agency this offseason. The 28-year-old has been getting his fair share of work with the first team in training camp alongside fellow starter Skyy Moore, and MVS to take on a bigger role in KC's explosive offense in his second year with the team. In 2022, he caught 42 of his 81 targets for 687 yards and only two touchdowns in 17 regular season games (11 starts). MVS has mostly been inconsistent in fantasy, but given Toney's already lengthy injury history, he's not a bad late-round flier in deeper fantasy leagues.
