Leonard Williams Expects To Be Ready For Week 1

Published: Sep 04, 2022 at 03:29 PM
New York Giants defensive end Leonard Williams (arm) is wearing a bulky brace on his left arm for an undisclosed injury, but he said he'll be ready to go for the Week 1 regular season opener against the Tennessee Titans. The arm issue is the reason why he was limited in training camp this summer. The 28-year-old former first-round pass-rusher also dealt with a triceps injury in 2021, but he still managed to play 17 games. When healthy, Williams is a top-10 defensive lineman in IDP fantasy leagues. Williams was a Pro Bowler back in 2016 with the New York Jets, and he had a career-high 11.5 sacks in 16 games in his first full season for the G-Men in 2020. Last year, he racked up a career-high 81 tackles (34 solo), five tackles for loss, 14 QB hits, 6.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.
