Laviska Shenault Jr. Scores In Debut With Panthers

Carolina Panthers wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. caught both of his targets and totaled 90 yards, scoring a 67-yard touchdown in a Week 3 victory over the New Orleans Saints. Shenault was a healthy scratch for the first two weeks of the season but showed some explosiveness in his Panthers debut and was on the receiving end of quarterback Baker Mayfield's only touchdown of the day. He will compete with the likes of DJ Moore, Christian McCaffrey, and Robbie Anderson for targets, but could see his role in the offense expand as he continues to familiarize himself with the playbook. He could be worth a waiver wire look in deep leagues, but should not yet be considered in normal 12-team formats.
