Kevin Harris, Pierre Strong Jr. Draw Praise From Bill Belichick

Published: Jun 13, 2023 at 05:35 PM
New England Patriots running backs Kevin Harris and Pierre Strong Jr. are entering their second seasons in the NFL after slim usage as rookies, and have impressed head coach Bill Belichick this offseason. "(Strong and Harris) have done a good job this offseason," Belichick said. "They've both come along well." Strong rushed 10 times for 100 yards and caught seven passes for 42 yards last season, while Harris rushed 18 times for 52 yards and did not record a reception. Both are battling to be the RB2 behind Rhamondre Stevenson after James Robinson was released, but veteran Ty Montgomery, who Belichick also praised -- is still on the roster. Ultimately, it's tough to know how it will shake up after Stevenson on the depth chart, but Robinson's departure narrows down the options just a bit.
