Kayshon Boutte Not A Lock To Make Roster

Published: May 17, 2023 at 02:59 PM
As a sixth-round pick (No. 187 overall) in this year's NFL draft, New England Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte should enter the league with low expectations, but he won't be a lock to make the team's 53-man roster out of training camp this summer. But Boutte is also a receiver that was the No. 2 receiver recruit in the nation just three years ago and who reached the 100-catch mark faster than any receiver in LSU history. If he can buy into the Patriots' demanding program and recapture the potential he showed years ago, he has the talent to become a legitimate weapon in the team's passing attack. There have been questions about Boutte off the field, and he also didn't test well at the scouting combine. He's one to watch, but fantasy managers in single-year leagues should be ignoring him this fall until he proves something.
