Kadarius Toney Suits Up For Drills, Remains Limited

Published: Aug 24, 2022 at 06:17 PM
New York Giants wide receiver Kadarius Toney (hamstring) was able to put on pads and perform individual drills during Wednesday's practice, but he appears to still be limited by the hamstring injury that has slowed him this summer. Toney is on track to be a major cog in the Giants' offense during his second year, having hauled in 39 catches for 420 yards over 10 games as a rookie. Kenny Golladay is likely to be N.Y.'s No. 1 pass-catching target, but signal caller Daniel Jones has yet to develop a consistent rapport with Golladay. Toney's final opportunity to suit up during the preseason comes Sunday vs. the Jets, but New York is unlikely to thrust him onto the field barring a drastic change of comfort. The Giants open the regular season at Tennessee on Sept. 11.
