Jets Working To Reach Agreement With Allen Lazard

Published: Mar 14, 2023 at 03:11 PM
The New York Jets are actively working to reach an agreement with Green Bay Packers free-agent wide receiver Allen Lazard on Tuesday, according to league sources. There is another team involved with Lazard, though, and no final decision has been made, but the Jets are trying to reunite Lazard with offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett. The Jets are also the favorites to trade for quarterback Aaron Rodgers if he wants to continue his playing career in 2023. Lazard was one of Rodgers top targets last year, so you can connect the dots. The 27-year-old wideout had a career-high 60 receptions for a career-high 788 yards and six touchdowns on 100 targets in 15 games last year, but a move to the Jets would hurt his fantasy value. He would no longer be the top dog in a receiving depth chart that already includes Garrett Wilson, Corey Davis and Elijah Moore.
