Allen Lazard Not Expected To Play Sunday

Published: Sep 11, 2022 at 12:19 PM
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard (ankle) is not expected to play during Sunday's season opener against the Minnesota Vikings, tweets Tom Pelissero of NFL.com. This news was widely expected after the Packers listed Lazard as doubtful on their final injury report. With Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling out of town, Lazard is viewed as the top receiver in Green Bay this season. However, the Lazard show will have to wait another week so that he can get healthy. In the meantime, Sammy Watkins, Romeo Doubs, and Christian Watson will round out the receiver room. Tight end Robert Tonyan could have some sneaky fantasy value, and there's no denying that Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon will get involved in the passing game, too.
