Jalin Hyatt Could Have Breakout Rookie Season

Published: Aug 26, 2023 at 02:55 AM
The Athletic's Charlotte Carroll thinks that New York Giants rookie wide receiver Jalin Hyatt could be a surprise rookie breakout in 2023. He has become quite comfortable in the offense at training camp despite questions about his route-tree abilities coming out of college. Hyatt has shown speed, made a few long touchdown receptions in practice and had his first receiving touchdown in last week's preseason game. Despite New York's deep receiving room, the 21-year-old has the chance to find success in his first NFL season, especially with his speed. Hyatt isn't going to be the go-to guy in this offense, but Carroll thinks he's a good name to keep an eye on beyond the first-round rookies. If the third-round pick flashes early in 2023, he'll likely become a popular early season waiver-wire pickup.
