Jahmyr Gibbs Could Go In Round 1

Published: Apr 26, 2023 at 03:07 PM
ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay would be surprised at this point if Alabama running back Jahmyr Gibbs wasn't taken in the first round of this year's NFL draft on Thursday night. Many teams are asking about him, and some NFL clubs don't have that big of a gap between Texas RB Bijan Robinson and Gibbs, which is telling because Robinson is a star. Gibbs is only 5-foot-9 and 199 pounds and isn't believed to be a heavy-volume back, but he can still make a very big impact in his rookie season in the right situation. NFL teams might be thinking about drafting Gibbs and giving him snaps out of the slot due to this year's down wide receiver class. For that reason, the 21-year-old will probably be more valuable in PPR leagues in 2023.
