Dalton Kincaid Expected To Line Up More As Receiver

Published: May 09, 2023 at 05:55 AM
The Buffalo Bills traded up two spots late in the first round of this year's NFL draft to take tight end Dalton Kincaid out of Utah. The Bills were looking for another offensive playmaker to give quarterback Josh Allen some help. Allen finished with his lowest completion percentage on passes thrown between the hashes since 2019 (68.5%). Buffalo signed tight end Dawson Knox to a four-year extension last year, but the team plans to use the two TEs in different roles, with Kincaid lining up more like a wide receiver, including a big slot receiver. The 23-year-old lined up all over the formation in college. It's a great landing spot fantasy-wise for Kincaid long term, but fantasy managers still may want to temper expectations in his rookie season given Knox's presence. Kincaid's presence is bad news for slot wideout Khalil Shakir.
