Dak Prescott Expected To Negotiate Extension This Offseason
Published: Dec 03, 2023 at 04:03 PM
Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is playing himself into another new contract to be worked out this offseason to become one of the league's highest-paid quarterbacks, according to sources. He only has one year left for 2024 in the final year of his current deal. Prescott also has a no-trade clause, a no-tag clause and a $60 million salary cap number for the 2024 season, so the Cowboys are expected to work on a new deal that will lower that cap hit for next season. Amid all the criticism from years past, the 30-year-old has really stepped up to the plate in 2023 and is putting it all together. Prescott is currently the QB3 in overall fantasy points with 3,234 passing yards, 26 touchdowns and only six interceptions through 12 games played.
