Cowboys Want Extensions For CeeDee Lamb, Dak Prescott
Published: May 04, 2023 at 09:38 PM
The Dallas Cowboys want to get contract extensions done with wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, who had his 2024 fifth-year option picked up, quarterback Dak Prescott, who is signed through the 2024 season, and cornerback Trevon Diggs, who is in the final year of his contract in 2023. Lamb is Dallas' top priority. He has made the Pro Bowl in two of his three NFL seasons and had career-highs in catches (107), targets (156), receiving yards (1,359) and touchdowns (nine) in 17 regular season starts in 2022 as one of the league's top receivers. The 24-year-old could be even more dangerous in 2023 with Brandin Cooks taking some attention away from him. Prescott, meanwhile missed five games last year due to injury and had a career-high 15 interceptions in 12 starts.
