Christian McCaffrey Extends Touchdown Streak
Published: Oct 09, 2023 at 05:21 AM
San Francisco 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey continued his historic run of fantasy reliability on Sunday night in the team's 42-10 win over the Dallas Cowboys. He finished the game with 19 carries for 51 yards and a touchdown on the ground to go with two receptions on three targets for 27 yards receiving. McCaffrey has now scored a touchdown in 14 straight regular season and playoff games, making him one of the safest bets for fantasy production in history. Because of the lopsided score on Sunday, McCaffrey was benched for virtually the entire fourth quarter which limited his production. As a result, backup Jordan Mason actually outgained McCaffrey on the ground tonight, 69 to 51. McCaffrey will attempt to tie the NFL record for most consecutive games with a touchdown when the 49ers travel to Cleveland to face the Browns in Week 6.
