Calvin Ridley Applying For Reinstatement

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Calvin Ridley, who was suspended indefinitely for betting on NFL games during the 2021 season, applied for reinstatement on Wednesday, according to a source. Ridley was suspended for all of the 2022 season and applied for reinstatement on the first day that he was eligible. The Jags acquired the 28-year-old pass-catcher from the Atlanta Falcons last year, and he should eventually have a pretty big role alongside Christian Kirk and Zay Jones in Jacksonville's ascending offense if he's reinstated by the NFL. In 2020, Ridley had a 1,000-yard season and scored nine times on 90 receptions. He also scored a career-high 10 touchdowns and had over 800 yards in his rookie campaign in 2018.
