Brandon Aiyuk - Week 2 Outlook for Fantasy Football

Published: Sep 16, 2023 at 04:00 AM
San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk had a breakout day in a 30-7 Week 1 victory at the Pittsburgh Steelers. The fourth-year pro out of Arizona State lit up the box score with eight receptions on as many targets for 129 yards and two touchdowns. More importantly, the trust and rapport developing between Aiyuk and quarterback Brock Purdy was obvious. It remains to be seen if Aiyuk has become the fantasy wide receiver to own in San Francisco, but it's at least possible that he will have out-produced fellow receiver Deebo Samuel when all is said and done. Based on the growth displayed last week and a great matchup against an unproven Los Angeles Rams defense, consider Aiyuk a WR2 this week.
