Brandon Aiyuk Sheds Non-Contact Jersey

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk (shoulder) shed his blue non-contact jersey at practice on Thursday. Aiyuk suffered a painful left-shoulder injury in Week 2 and was held out on a short week in last Thursday's win over the New York Giants. He's practiced the last two days, though, and appears to be on the right track towards returning to face the Arizona Cardinals this Sunday. And with Deebo Samuel (ribs) and Jauan Jennings (shin) now questionable to play in Week 4, Aiyuk could be quarterback Brock Purdy's top aerial target in a favorable matchup. In his first two games in 2023, Aiyuk has a healthy 11 receptions on 14 targets for 172 yards and two touchdowns, although most of that production came in the season opener.
