Brandin Cooks Won't Play Thursday Night
Published: Nov 03, 2022 at 04:02 PM
Houston Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks will not play on Thursday night against the Philadelphia Eagles. Cooks missed practice this week for what the team described as personal reasons. He had hoped to be traded to a playoff contender at Tuesday's deadline, but it did not happen and he will not play in Week 9. Fantasy managers will need to move him to their benches. With both Cooks and Nico Collins (groin) sidelined, Phillip Dorsett, Chris Moore and Tyron Johnson will be the team's starting receivers, while tight ends Brevin Jordan, O.J. Howard and Jordan Akins figure to be more involved in the passing attack as well. And pass-catching running back Rex Burkhead could see plenty of short dump-off passes from quarterback Davis Mills.
