Bengals Place Charlie Jones On Injured Reserve

The Cincinnati Bengals placed rookie wide receiver Charlie Jones (thumb) on Injured Reserve and acquired linebacker Devin Harper off waivers from the Dallas Cowboys in a corresponding move on Saturday. Jones, a rookie from Purdue, suffered a thumb injury in the Monday night win over the Los Angeles Rams, will now have to miss at least the next four games. The earliest the 24-year-old pass-catcher can return will be on Nov. 5 against the Buffalo Bills. In his first three NFL games, the fourth-round selection had just one catch for a six-yard gain on two targets. Jones also returned eight punts for 150 total yards on special teams.
