Allen Lazard Inks Contract With The Jets

Published: Mar 15, 2023 at 02:09 AM
Free-agent wide receiver Allen Lazard has agreed to a four-year, $44 million contract with the Jets. The veteran led Green Bay in receiving last season, finishing with 788 yards and six touchdowns, benefiting from the offseason departure of Davante Adams. Of course, the acquisition of Lazard may mean Aaron Rodgers is on his way to New York. However, no matter who is under center for the Jets during the 2022-23 campaign, Lazard will have plenty of competition for snaps and targets. As a result, his fantasy outlook isn't as promising as it was a year ago. But if Rodgers does end up in New York, Lazard could be his preferred target, at least early in the season, while familiarizing himself with a new receiving corps.
