Allen Lazard Gains 116 Yards During Overtime Victory
Published: Oct 03, 2022 at 01:35 AM
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Allen Lazard caught six of his eight targets, gaining 116 yards, during the team's 27-24 overtime victory over the New England Patriots Sunday. As the 26-year-old has worked his way back to 100% since injuring his ankle before Green Bay's season opener, Lazard has seen his target share increase each of the past three weeks. The 116 yards were by far his most in a single game this year, and the fifth-year receiver finally looked to be past the injury. Lazard was tied for the most targets Sunday with rookie Romeo Doubs but should still be considered quarterback Aaron Rodgers' top target. The Iowa State alum will face a stiff New York Giants defense in London next week, who has been one of the top defenses against the wide receiver position for fantasy purposes. However, with the high volume of targets expected to go his way, Lazard should be considered a WR3/FLEX option for Week 5.
